MODERN  ELEGANCE

Elegance (n): dignified grace in appearance, movement, or behaviour.
Modern Elegence is just that definition, but with a more darker quality. One noun shown in 4 colors, to help convey it's meaning even further and to showcase utilization of adobe photoshop.

I designed Mod Reality with inspiration of WGSN's forecasted macro trend, Rendering Reality. Inspired for the 21-36 year old woman with classic tastes with a twist. For my designs I was heavily inspired by the Mod 60's and their attempt of creating their own reality through art. For the looks of the garments they are feminine with hint of masculine. The prints used in my collection are heavily influenced by graphics from the AMC's television show, Mad Men. I was also inspired by the graphics found in Beyonce's music video for Countdown and the color scheme in Stanley Donan's film Funny Face. Every inspiration for this project has the consistency of mod, femininity, and a sense of another world.

SHORELINES

After the President of MCCKC had chosen my cover to be the winner of the Shore Lines A/W 2014-2015  Cover Contest, the Graphic Design department head tasked me with designing the A/W 2014-2015 MCCKC Longview Literary Journal, Shore Lines. Teaming with the English Department Head, I created, from front to back, the literary magazine that MCCKC Longview students could showcase their paintings, photographs, poems, short stories, etc. Chosen works were interpreted by myself through image and text to create a cohesive body of work. Thus crafting a work in which promotes the school's art departments and creative student body.
